Lamka, Jun 4: A strange Lizard suspected to belong to a rare species that are na-tive of Indonesia, the Mythical Dragon or the Komodo Dragon was cap-tured by locals working in a motor workshop located near a stream here on Thursday.

The lizard about 2 ft in length and resembling the largest living species of lizard, Komo Dragon on its skin, paws and tongue appears to be aggressive in nature when The Sangai Express captured its images today. Its custodian said they fed the strange lizard with meat, fish, insects and Chameleons.

With an extended tongue separated on the tip as is the case for snakes, the lizard appears to sense things with it.

A man that guided this correspondent to the lizard that was in captivity with an iron wire tied at its waist just beyond the rear feets said many people have offered him money to buy the lizard which he declined.

He also claimed that the lizard he captured was an infant as he was told by some locals about their sightings of similar lizard, much bigger in size and faster in movement moving around the Lanva rivulet with just two of the rear foot on ground.
